The University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB) combines the individual attention of a smaller university with Texas-sized opportunities.   

UTPB, a member of The University of Texas System, opened its doors for classes in the fall of 1973 as an upper-level university. It was elevated to a four-year university in 1991 and has approximately 6,100 enrolled students and more than 300 full-time faculty. UTPB is located in Odessa, Texas, 20 miles from its sister city, Midland, Texas. The UTPB campus has the latest in teaching technologies in its classrooms, modern research facilities, a new visual arts building and a new library/lecture center. It is committed to providing students with an educational foundation useful for life-long learning and success in today's global environment. Housing

UTPB is growing! A new 300-bed freshman residence hall opened in Fall 2016. If you wish to live on-campus at UT Permian Basin, submit a housing application and the required housing deposit as soon as you submit your CAP agreement.
