PACE Requirements
Each semester, students enrolled in PACE take 12 transferable hours of coursework at Austin Community College (ACC) – Rio Grande, plus no fewer than three hours from a pre-approved list of courses at The University of Texas at Austin.
Students register for courses with the help of dedicated academic advisors on each campus, ensuring they meet program requirements.
Program Completion
PACE students have one year (two long semesters) in which to accumulate 24 hours in residence at ACC and no fewer than six hours in residence at The University of Texas at Austin.
By the end of the spring semester, students must achieve a cumulative 2.0 grade-point average (GPA) in courses undertaken at UT Austin and a cumulative 3.2 GPA in courses undertaken at ACC in order to qualify for admission to approved majors in the College of Liberal Arts, College of Education and the Steve Hicks School of Social Work. Students must achieve a cumulative 3.0 GPA in UT Austin coursework and a 3.5 GPA in courses undertaken at ACC to be eligible for guaranteed admission to the Moody College of Communication.
