Make sure to have your SAT, ACT, AP or IB scores sent to UT Austin if you’re planning to use your test scores as proof of calculus readiness. If you are using earned college credit, we need your official college transcript showing the credit. This can be sent electronically from the college or mailed to the Office of Admissions.
Please note that the calculus readiness markers above do not always exempt you from taking additional math placement exams for enrollment in calculus. The exception to this is a UT Math Assessment score of 70. This will count as placement into calculus as well as readiness for admissions purposes.
*Note for freshman applicants for Fall 2023 not submitting the SAT or ACT for admissions purposes: If you elected not to use your test scores in the admissions review process, you may still send your test scores in for the purposes of meeting the calculus readiness requirement. Your scores will ONLY be used for the purpose of meeting calculus readiness if you meet the minimum scores required. Official scores must be sent directly from the testing agency and they must be received by December 9.
